Hey Everyone,
The Lich King must be defeated on regular before heroic will be unlocked.
1. You will need to run the daily 5 man heroic in order to get your 2 emblems of frost. When doing loot, we always take into account how many emblems of frost you have. If you are not running the daily heroic, you may be passed up for loot that requires frost emblems.
2. We will be running the weekly raid frost emblem reward in a 25 man raid makeup. This provides each member in the raid 5 emblems of frost. If you are not in the guild ran 25 man weekly, please pug a 10 man or 25 for the frost emblems, but only do this after the guild has completed it.
3. Make sure everyone does the quest line for the first 3, 5 man instances. These start with a quest guy from the Dalaran Bank. It will take you through the first 3 instances. The quests reward 2 emblems of frost the first time they are done. There are three quests. Please grab 5 guildies and complete the 3 instances for your 6 emblems of frost.
4. 10 and 25 man TOC, VOA, Ony, and any instance lower are OPEN for Pug. 10 heroic TOC is ALSO OPEN FOR PUG. Do NOT run the weekly raid encounter outside of the guild, until the guild has completed it.
5. The first 4 bosses in the first wing of Icecrown are currently the only bosses available for approximately 28 days after the 3.3 patch. Our focus will be on killing these bosses and getting them on farm in both 10 and 25 man. The 10 man will be run on Friday and Sunday until we are clearing the first 4 bosses on 25 man in one night. Once we are clearing the first 4 bosses in 25 man in one night, and there are no new wings open, we will use the other raid days and times to clear 10 man as well. If we get both 10 and 25 man to one night clears, and have extra 25 man raid time, we MAY go into 25 heroic TOC. Everything lower then 25 heroic however is OPEN for PUG.
6. ATF is taking a little different philosophy about how many people we are carrying on the bench going foward. We will carry additional people in ATF that may not be able to raid at all times. Your responsibilites to ensure you are getting a raid spot are as follows:
1. Attendance. This is very, very imporant. Accept and decline the raid invites in advance. If you accept, you are expected to show. If you do not show, this is recorded against you. Provide contact information so you can be texted or called, or you can call or text if an emergency pops up. Provide in game e-mail if you declined in advance as to why you are declining. Be on time!
2. Performance. Come prepared to the fights by understanding the general strategy of how the fight works. Be repaired, and have appropriate flasks. Do not go AFK during the raids. Be pleasant in vent, work together. Help your fellow brothers and sisters outside of the raid. Have the proper mods installed. And of course, perform. We know what your gear should be allowing you to do from an HPS, TPS, and DPS perspective. If at any point, you are not putting appropriate numbers up, you may be replaced.
3. 245 geared or higher (we will take those that are geared to a point where they are benefitting the raid first, unless the GM believes a special class is needed for a raid buff). How can you get a raid spot? Run pugs, get crafted items. Do everything you can to gear your main spec, AND offspec. You may not have a spot at certain points in the raid with your mainspec, but you may be called on for your offspec. Make sure your offspec is cleared by the GM.
This should explain the direction we are taking going forward. If you have any questions at any time, please just ask.
